MAIN CAMP

Main Camp

Accommodates 12 people in two thatched airconditioned cabins nestled among large granite boulders and fig trees.

Each cabin is equipped with elecricity and has two bedrooms, one furnished with twin beds and the other with two double bunks (all single beds).

Central ablution facilities are provided exclusively for main camp visitors.

Paved pathways lead between the trees, lawns and boulders to the braai area or lapa with its adjoining bar, fully equipped kitchen and dining area.

Visitors cater for themselves and will find a stove, fridge, microwave oven and deep freeze as well as all needed utensils in the kitchen.

Meals can be enjoyed around a 12 seater Rhodesian teak table in the dining area.

TO ENSURE YOUR STAY AT MOKURU IS AS COMFORTABLE AS POSSIBLE, NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

We will, if arranged beforehand, provide supper to guests that have had to travel far for their first evening at Mokuru. Please contact Susan at mokuru@telkomsa.net or at 082 654 4686 for the menu and prices.

Take along flashlights.

The Main Camp, Chalets & Bundu Camp are fully equipped with electricity. Please use electricity sparingly.

Take along pre-packed ice. Freezing facilities are adequate. Cool drinks in tins or glass bottles cool easier than in plastic containers

All bedding and towels are supplied.

You are welcome to take along your own firewood or charcoal. Excelent braai wood and charcoal is available.

- Hardekool at R17.00 (VAT excl) per bag and R28.25 (Vat excl) per bundle,

- Sekelbos at R13.00 per bag (VAT excl) and

- Charcoal briquettes at R19.00 per bag (VAT exc)

Please arrange for this prior to arrival.

Remember, you may use use a bicycle to explore the game trails, unfortunately you are not allowed to use your own vehicle or motorbikes. You can however pre-book our game viewing vehicle.

No pets are allowed.

Our staff will perform the following duties (working hours 07h00 until 16h00):

- making beds;

- cleaning of bathrooms, toilets and floors;

- cleaning of braai areas

Our staff is availble for after hours duties at R25.00 per hour. Please arrange beforehand with the Reserve Management.

Our staff will provide the following:

- toilet paper;

- aerosols in respect of toilets and mosquito's;

- candles, if and when required.
